This September 19 would be the first anniversery for Onlinejer.com. Along the way, Onlinejer has grow from something that is unknown until became what is was now. I’m also grown from someone who has zero knowledge about internet business into what am I now.

In accordance to its first anniversary, Onlinejer will came out with new header and probably slightly different design and outlook. I’m not very good in design, so I have hired someone to make a simple but interesting design for it. Hope you guys will like it. So, don’t go away, keep reading our directory.

The server is down for about 14 hours 2 days ago due to some hardware problem i believe. But my hosting company manage to bring it up. This is to inform that if anyone has found their links or articles are missing, do let me know.

The server migration has finished, but i discover that the migration has migrate the old archive files. Initially, i only discover that the user interface is not up to date, but today, one author inform me that his articles as well as his profile has gone missing.

I would like to apologize  to all authors who has been affected by issue. The migration actually done by my server hosting, but unfortunately they have restored and migrate old backup files. I will investigate which data is lost, and will try to bring it back ASAP.

I haven’t finish updating my database since the server is perform quite slow recently as well as I’m busy with my daily works. At one point i feel frustrated with my hosting performance.  But i do understand since my database has reach more than 200 mb in size, and this would probably cause time-out happen intermittently when the page is loading especially during US days.

My hosting company has bought new server (dual core, but not sure what core) and offer everyone to move there free of charge. But all migration process must be done by the  subscriber, which is quite troublesome for person especially to me who has less knowledge in networking related things.

I’ll try to get this done during weekend(hopefully i’m free this weekend) to avoid this issue from happen continuously. Ohh, i almost forget that, there will be PC fair coming over this weekend at PISA, maybe I’ll try to get there to survey new stuff and technology  and maybe grab something from there

It’s almost quarter end again for my company (where i’m working).. there is a lot of works and documentation must be done… sigh… don’t know when i can have opportunity to work independently..  Maybe next 5 years when my online income exceeding my salary..

There are many mays to maximize article directory usage. It is very easy and even my self use it to monitor my directory. I will noticed if there are new articles coming in and read their content in 1 page. Talking about it, you’ll need a RSS Reader but i will suggest Google Reader or Bloglines because of their simplicity and the features they offered

a)Using RSS

1. Navigate to RSS Feed
2. Choose whatever topic that you desired. When you click any topic, the RSS Feed address will appeared on text box above it
3. Copy that address. Open Google Reader or Bloglines and add this new RSS feed address

b) Using Ezine Notification

1. Navigate to Ezine Notification
2. Choose any topic that you desired.
3. Choose if you want to rezeive the notification weekly or real time
4. And finally add your name ad your email. You will receive email whenever there is new article added weekly or real time.

I’ve been asked by someone if they can use the articles inside their blog or website. The answer is ‘YES’. But please read or TOS first. I knew that some of you may interested in some of the articles inside, i really encourage my reader to maximize the usage of articles, but it must be  within our TOS

I’m currently doing housekeeping on my article directory. This is including deletion of article with less than 500 - 600 word s (depend on the content) and duplicate content. I’ll also remove all unnecessary ads except adsense, kontera and chitika. This is to ensure the loading time is faster especially those who are using non-broadband internet connection.

This is one of my steps to make this article directory better place , not only for author but to reader as well. I knew that article directory is one of the easiest source of traffic, but i do hope that article submitted is meaningful and not purposely targeted for promotion or traffic only

It has been almost 6 month now since i first launch my article directory which is also my first paid hosting website (i only use blogger, wordpress and googlepages before).The result is not like what i’m expected, but i did learn a lot so far. I did all on my own from the scratch, from setting up the article directory code, drive traffic to my website and try to monetize it using adsense, kontera and chitka.

It wasn’t easy task to promote your website thus drive traffic to it. I have to admit that, especially with very limited budget, it’s quiet difficult to get traffic and competing with well establish website all over the net. FYI, I’m not spending single cent on it, i did it all manually, by myself.

There are several ways that i think is useful and started to show the result,  such as posting your site to directories, link exchange, use blog to promote the articles, submit your site to social networking site such as Digg, Squidoo and etc. I hope i’ll comeup with free e-book soon specially to my subsriber.

As a new folk who just steps into this internet world, i initially have difficulties to choose what kind of website i wanna have. I spent almost a weeks doins some research, bought books, reading blos as well as get an advice from my friends, i have made my mind and decided to setup online article directory. Something free always come with some handfull works. You need some basic knowledge in PHP and webhosting to install it successfully. For those who has thick pocket to be spent, they provide paid services to install AD from the beginning until the site is up successfully. You can choose from different packages which come as low as USD50 if i’m not mistaken for basic installation.

I would like to pass you some information to you, before you start download this software. It was encoded with ioncube, thus you need it decode to be install in your webshosting server. Bear in mind, the file can’t be edited externally except from the admin panel that they provided. I’ll pass more information about this in my next post. Stay tune. Cheers

Hello world, sounds familiar, right Today would be my first post in my first ever blog that i have, and yeah.. hopefully it would last till the end of the world. Ok, lets go straight to the point.
