I’m currently doing housekeeping on my article directory. This is including deletion of article with less than 500 - 600 word s (depend on the content) and duplicate content. I’ll also remove all unnecessary ads except adsense, kontera and chitika. This is to ensure the loading time is faster especially those who are using non-broadband internet connection.

This is one of my steps to make this article directory better place , not only for author but to reader as well. I knew that article directory is one of the easiest source of traffic, but i do hope that article submitted is meaningful and not purposely targeted for promotion or traffic only

I do welcome any comment to make this article directory better.

Since starting writing blogs few months back, recently i have seen a lot of spam comment coming in. In average there are 2-3 post promoting sex-related stuff, real estate and etc. Luckily wordpress has comment notification tools to inform about this thus remove it immediately
I doubt the process of sending this comment are done manually, but through some scripts which automate all those processes. The fact that nowadays a lot of spam comment is because it was one of the easiest and cheapest way to promote the products or services regardless the morality of the ways.
Imagine how good the world without spam… no spam filter, no space wasted. Your thought?

It has been almost 6 month now since i first launch my article directory which is also my first paid hosting website (i only use blogger, wordpress and googlepages before).The result is not like what i’m expected, but i did learn a lot so far. I did all on my own from the scratch, from setting up the article directory code, drive traffic to my website and try to monetize it using adsense, kontera and chitka.

It wasn’t easy task to promote your website thus drive traffic to it. I have to admit that, especially with very limited budget, it’s quiet difficult to get traffic and competing with well establish website all over the net. FYI, I’m not spending single cent on it, i did it all manually, by myself.

There are several ways that i think is useful and started to show the result,  such as posting your site to directories, link exchange, use blog to promote the articles, submit your site to social networking site such as Digg, Squidoo and etc. I hope i’ll comeup with free e-book soon specially to my subsriber.
